Buggy Home page layout problems

I’m using the latest version of RT and Newwave childs theme.
I’ve added 1 column, the carousel and recent listings to the home page layout.

When I edit and save the contents of the 1 Column layout it messes up the carousel and the recent listings layout AND reverts back to the unedited content.

I have deleted everything on the home page layout and reinstalled to no avail.

Where will I find the contents of the 1 column file to permently delete it?

BTY if I use the 2 column layout the problem doesn’t appear???
