Migrating Premiumpress Directory 7

Is it possible to migrate from an existing wordpress site and install Directorypress theme and still have all your blog posts and data intact?

Also, I looked at creating a child Theme and was wondering in Directorypress If I could somehow still use my Existing WordPress theme and still have all the functionality of DirectoryPress?

For Example I have a Theme I created for a normal wordpress site. I know once I install DirectoryPress I lose that theme… but is there a way to keep my old them and just integrate Directorypress functionality?
