Problem with linked taxonomies in advanced search

    Hi guys,

I have been itching to move from Version 7 to the Responsive Real Estate theme, but I keep seeing this problem on my test sites.

On my test website (https://jaycastillo.com/beta_test/) I created two custom taxonomies and linked them as per video tutorial. The taxonomy Province is linked to the City/Municipality taxonomy. When I choose a province in the advanced search box, the box for City/Municipality becomes narrower (see printscreen 1).

If I empty both search boxes, the City/Municipality box expands and becomes wider (see printscreen 2). The same behavior happens after searching and I want to search for other properties by emptying both boxes.

Actually, if you play around with the search boxes, you will notice erratic behavior for the second box (City/Municipality). It either expands or becomes narrower.

I noticed the same things happen on an old test installation so I created a fresh install of wordpress and the Responsive Real Estate Theme (Version 5.7) but I still get the same behvior as stated above when using linked taxonomies in advanced search.

Why is this happening and how do I stop this? Aren’t these supposed to have fixed widths?

    Other details:
    Wordpress version: 3.7 and 3.8
Theme: Responsive Real Estate Theme version 5.7
Plugins: Premiumpress plugins (CSV Import/Export, YouTube, Taxonomies, Terms & Conditions, PremiumPress Transfer)
