Classified Theme Can't upload plugins

Last night I upgraded from non to responsive Classifieds. uploaded the transfer plugin successfully and transfered ok.

Today if I try to install a plugin from my computer I get this error – “The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads.”

If I try to install from the “Add NEW plugins button after searching for the one I want. At install I get “could not create directory”

I’m upgrading a previous site thae my son and I set up. When I purchased the responsive classified theme I got a new software code. Could that be an issue??
