Applying a 100% off coupon

I want to offer the ability for an existing customer to post their listing to my site for free, but I want to give them my premium package. They’ve already paid me so I don’t want to charge them again, therefore, I’ve created a 100% discount coupon. However, after I apply the coupon and it says I owe $0.00, it still requires me to try to “pay” for it through PayPal. When I try, PayPal gives me an error, then I get an callback error when I go back to the site. Is there a way to make a 100% discount coupon code treat it the same as a “Free Listing Package” would and not force the customer to “Pay” through PayPal and get the error?
