Carousel problems

I have a front page carousel set to display featured listings, I entered the query string: meta_value=yes&meta_key=featured. The problem I’m having is that the carousel seems to be displaying everything set in the search results display layut, including styling and all the fields. I don’t want the items in carousel to be displayed the same way as in search lits. All I want is the picture and a title. How can I do that?
