Advanced Search – Location on Google Map

Hi All…

My key search fields on my site are State and City (USA based business). I sell vacation home rentals on my site… so you can understand why this is a big deal.

As you may know, the state and city fields are user-populated. For example, if a user adds an auction in Boston, MA, an option for Massachusetts appears in the state drop down and Boston appears in the city (if and only if the user selects Massachusetts… the two fields are linked together… city is contingent upon state).

I use the “hide expired” option on my site that Mark recently fine-tuned in the 5.2 release (per the request of some of us). It works wonderfully.

However….

Along the same thought of this “hide expired” feature, I would also like for the locations to be removed from my advanced search drop downs when an auction ends. So in the example I gave above, when my auction in Boston, MA ends, Massacusetts will will no longer appear in the drop down for state and Boston won’t appear in the city (unless, of course there is another live auction in Boston, MA).

Is this on anyone else’s wish list?
