Membership redirect

I have 2 questions related to the Membership Package Purchase

1.How can I redirect the Membership Package SELECT buttons to go to the Register page instead of the Login page?

2. Is it possible for the user to auto-login after they have registered? So, this way they would register and not be directed back to the login page but they would be logged in automatically (since they have just registered) and then they can be re-directed to the My Account page where they can submit the payment to the membership package.
