Hey all – I thought this forum might find this interesting.
I have about 1.3 million listings on a PremiumPress Responsive Directory Theme site. As I was building out the site – spammers got ahold of the submission page and started sending through all kinds of crap. I thought it would be interesting to just let it roll and see what happened. Plus – I wanted to see how PremiumPress – and my host could stand up to the load.
Surprisingly the site still performs pretty well. Pages load in under 2 seconds. Search can be a bit slow. I have the site hosted on a micro instance at Amazon. Just for fun – I am going to spin up a 8GB RAM | 2 vCPU instance to see how the performance is.
Once I’m done playing, I’ll blow away all the crap data and actually get back to finishing my project 😉
