Mark item as sold

Hello guys

A question regarding sold items on auctions.

If an item is sold but the seller did not use a payment gateway to get paid (paypal adaptive), how does the seller mark that the item is sold other then that the timer has ended and that there is a winner? If the seller and buyer finishes the auction offline, is it possible to show this? If not, the buyer will still see the contact seller button and info that the seller has not filled in payment info until the auction is removed?
