Hi,
I would like some advice and ideas regarding to understanding how to adapt my idea to the DirectoryTheme template. As a last resource, obviously, I will modify my idea to fit the theme, but first let’s try it.
TARGETS:
– To have two types of service providers (individual and companies) that publish a listing offering their services. Each one with different fields and different monthly price.
– To have a default free listing type (with basic information) and as a backup listing when the providers cancel their monthly fee.
– To have a customer account able to bookmark favorites, write reviews and send messages to the providers.
DOUBTS:
1. Can I assume that the membership form, from the WP point of view, it is just a registering form? that creates user accounts?
2. Can I assume that the listing form, from the WP point of view, it is just a post form? that creates custom posts of type ‘listing’?
SOLUTION??
– Create three types of listing: Free (with the basic and shared fields), Individual (monthly price low) and Company (monthly price high).
– Create three memberships, all three free and unlimited: Customer, Individual and Company. The Customer account can not publish listing, the Individual account can only publish 1 listing of type Individual, and the Company account can only publish 1 listing of type Company.
– The payment of the listing is done after publishing the listing, and the recurring payment will charge them monthly.
QUESTIONS:
Can this work?
Or the recurring payment works only with memberships?
Or I cant charge for the listings published by membership users?
Thanks very much for your time, I know that it is boring to read long descriptions about someone else business… 🙂
