Hello,
I’ve had a couple of issues;
can’t change from non www to www – breaks the cart
voucher codes not working
So I’ve made the decision to switch themes (this is ST by the way).
I want to go from 8.9.4 to 8.9.6
I have created my site on a dummy domain and I’m happy with it running 8.9.6
However… I’m really worried about the updating. My concerns are mainly due to the users. I now have 40 users/ buyers who have all set up their accounts.
I worked out that I can’t migrate the users OUT of 8.9.4 , setup 8.9.6 and then import users – Or am I wrong there?
So can anyone give me a quick To-Do list to get this up?
I figure I’ll need to install 8.9.6 and then build from scratch, is that right?
As long as I don’t delete content/ users then can I simply remove 8.9.4 and then activate 8.9.6?
Will the users remain across all themes?
Any ideas on how better to do this?
It’s a big problem for me as all I really want to do is to switch to http://www.WebSite.co.uk but this just doesn’t work at the moment so any ideas on this would actually save me having to go through all of the work above.
