In order to make their site more SEO optimised, many use Yoast plugin.
But setting up Yoast plugin on PremiumPress sites can be difficult for some users.
This simple guide might make it easier: http://premiumwebservices.co.uk/setting-up-yoast-on-premiumpress-themes/

    Kind regards,

I need to know the code for using my SKU in my Meta keywords template:

My SKU is my Part # and most customers search for Part #

I tried %%SKU%% and it did not work.

does it let you use custom meta values in the title?

If you want to use customfield the syntax is like this:

    %%cf_<custom field name>%%

so in your case it should look like this:

    %%cf_SKU%%

    Hope that helps.

    Kind regards,

    Richard

    Hi Brandon,

    1) Meta Robots (no index, follow) – don’t tick as you want your products to be indexed by Google and other search engines
    2) Date in snippet preview – suitable only for date sensitive content (like news or similar)
    3) WordPress SEO Meta Box – ticking this box will hide the SEO Metabox on the product edit screen – you should not tick it otherwise you will not be able to edit the SEO on per product basis.

    Kind regards,

    Richard

    Last question about this Plugin.
And I did review your article on your site but it is old and the settings tabs have changed since that article was published.

What do you recommend under the following sections for a ShopperPress site.

    PERMALINK SETTINGS
** Strip the category base (usually /category/) from the category URL
** Enforce a trailing slash on all category and tag URL’s

    TITLES & METAS
    ** Force rewrite titles
    ** Noindex subpages of archives
    ** Use meta keywords tag?
** Add noodp meta robots tag sitewide
** Add noydir meta robots tag sitewide

    CLEAN UP THE <HEAD>
    ** Hide RSD Links
    ** Hide WLW Manifest Links
    ** Hide Shortlink for posts
    ** Hide RSS Links

    Hi Richard, Mark

I am using latest version (6.6.0) of Responsive Directory Theme and Yoast Plugin. I am trying to setup “Meta Description Template” in Yoast plugin as “%%excerpt%%”, however excerpt for my listing is not showing up in SEO Meta Box under any listing.

Its also not working with any custom field. I tried using %%cf_<custom field name>%% format but its not working for any custom field. However its working for my custom taxonomies. with %%ct_<custom taxonomy name>%%

    Please help.. Thanks.
