Removing 'Items basket' and 'Add to cart' button

    I am building an affiliate website using shop theme and I want to customize two things:

    1. How can I remove or disable “Checkout/Items” basket from top.

    2. The “Add to cart” button opens the affiliate link in a new window. But, on the products listing page the affiliate link opens in the same window. How can I remove the Add to cart button from products listing page.
