Registration form field order

Hi there I'm using the coupon theme and just added a new email field but I want to change the order in which it displays. I'd prefer it appears after the username before the mobile number. How can I do that please?

    Hello,

The file you’ll want to edit is the ajax-modal-register.php. Make a copy, edit it and upload it into the child theme directory.

I’ve attached the original v9.4.3 file along with the change made.
Note: ALL custom registration fields will be displayed.
If you don’t want that then you’ll need to make other changes to display just the one. I’ve also made comments where the changes were made.

James I fiddled with the file & did as you said. I made the mobile display in the input field to match the other fields, but I can’t for the life of me get Email to display in the input field… Please see the attached. Can you please help?

“…but I can’t for the life of me get Email to display in the input field”
Sorry, I’m not following. It looks like the email field is in the image.

I’d prefer to have no label, just the word email in the input field…

Is that “Email” field one of your custom fields or the one in the template?

I actually added a custom email field because there was no email field displaying on the register page before…

There should have been one. The template file has it in there.

Which child theme are you using?

Then it should be in there. Are you sure it wasn’t removed with whatever changes you made? (note: I already made changes before uploading the file, so I’m not sure what you specifically have changed.)

All I did was remove the label for mobile and include a placeholder in the field…

Apparently I’m misunderstanding the issue again.

    Here’s what I see.

That’s strange! I wonder why I can’t see the email field that you selected? Here’s what I see:

That’s why I entered the email custom field… I guess I should delete it then even though I can’t see it?
