    1. Take a backup of your site
    2. Update WordPress
    3. If it works, keep it
    4. if it doesn’t, restore your backup

    It is POINTLESS relying on other people to tell you if a WP update will break anything, as EVERYONE will be using different combinations of plugins and most likely have a different server configurations.

    One thing IS certain. If you continue to run a very old version of WordPress, your site WILL get hacked – it’s just a question of how quickly hackers find your site.
