Is there a way to set up specific items as non taxable goods? We sell current periodicals, that are non taxed goods, in addition to our other items that are to be taxed.

    Thank you in advance.

That is a good Question Holly.

Each Product can be set for TAXES. To to Admin Area and click on each Product then you will see the Listing Options.

    See attached Picture

By default this is blank. We’re a US merchant, and don’t use VAT tax, but we are required to charge tax on most items but there are some items that we cannot charge tax on. I have the “Country/State Tax” enabled in “Tax Options” in the Checkout Setup section. But this settings applies to all items. Is there a way to exclude specific items or categories?

How many products will you have on your site.

If you import your products maybe you can set the Tax for each

Depends if the State tax is different for each State I guess…

Sorry for the slow reply. I can update the items via the feed import or update them via the csv tool. What would I need to change?

you can only update items using CSV, todo this you need to include an SKU column in your CSV file.

Yes I understand how the csv import works. Now can someone tell me how to have specific items non taxed while other items are?

Try this – There is a tax option under each listing options. Then enable Checkout Tax Options and enable VAT.
