Mel, it’s a nice looking site.

One thing I notice: the content all appears responsive and fits on the screen ok but as you narrow it there’s a scroll bar at the bottom that allows you to scroll sideways. It seems a bit odd as it scrolls to nothing.

Mel, to be very honest I love the idea, concept and look but I do not like the ad placement at the top. It is an awkward placement for me. Maybe it’s just me…

    Love this.

How did you get the member count to show up.

    Josh – thanks
D – not that I know of it seems to be functioning ok.
Janak – can you please give me some more detail – mobile/desktop, pages etc?
Randall – thanks I’ve removed it as I think it looks better without it too.
Chris – Member count is in the Header code below:

    <?php $user_count = $wpdb->get_var(“SELECT COUNT(*) FROM $wpdb->users;”);?><p style=”text-decoration: none; float:right;color: #287fa6″><?php echo ‘Member count is ‘ . $user_count; ?></p>

That’s a good one. I would suggest you add contents to the footer to balance it out.

Nice, but the ‘home’ link looks dry. That’s just me. 🙂

Alex – thanks for pointing that out I actually do have widgets configured in the footer both middle and right but arent’ showing up for some reason. Searching forums madly trying to find out why?

Mr – thanks but I’m not sure what you mean – do you mean the header logo or home page?

D – thanks again I just realised you meant the search I’m trying to work out how to get my blog posts that show up in the search to populate a window and some text as opposed to the No Image image and the caption brackets.

Thanks for all the feedback, appreciate you all taking the time to check it out.

    Hi Mel,

Do you have errors when you save the widgets? Please try to delete all the widgets then readd them again.

    Looks Great Mel 🙂

Just a suggestion, feel free to use these attached images if you if you like.
    see two attached images.
The image called Advertise FREE is while you are wanting it FREE to advertise
The image called Advertise NOW is when you want to charge for advertising

You personally may not like this, and I wouldn’t be offended, but I think inserting this may look better.

    Ask what others think too

    Liz 🙂

Looks like you have a 3 column page layout, have you also got 3 footer columns set?
are you putting your widgets in the right footer column in
check your widget placement go to WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.

3 column for widgets set up in your theme. go to …..
General settings > Page set up > look at the bottom on the right.

    See attached.

Hey Liz – thanks for the images they look great! Appreciate you taking the time to create them. Just wondering where you were thinking they look best – on the home page, or listing page?

Also I have got the widget footer set up to 3 columns in both locations. I’m going to try Alex’s suggestions to remove all widgets and start again and see if that helps.

Tried removing all widgets but still no joy – not even if I change the layout of the footer under Page Layout Footer I don’t see the right hand widget. Any other suggestions?
