I have just adopted a client’s site that *insists* on staying in their current Genesis child theme (I prefer Premium Press!!). The child theme has a 3 section footer consisting of 3 – 33% sized boxes. It’s not working for what we need. I have found plugins such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-footer-builder/installation/
But it does not let me build a footer that has for example 1 row that is 1 column 100% wide and a 2nd row that is 4 boxes of 25% each.
Yes yes I know it can be done by coders in php but I am not a coder. I need a plugin. Us non-coders are keeping you PHP coders with plenty of job security!
Does anyone know of such a plugin? I have looked and have not yet found a perfect solution. If any of you know of such a solution I would be grateful.
don’t know any plugin. But it can be build with simple HTML and CSS.
You can building it up using Html Tables
yes thought of HTML tables but not sure how to insert it into the theme’s footer (I’m not a coder). Even with shortcode which I fully understand, I do not know how to replace the current footer with the shortcode.
Add a text footer widget and add the following code (for PPtheme)
<div class="col-md-12">This is 100% width</div>
<div class="col-md-4">This is 25% width - 1st part</div>
<div class="col-md-4">This is 25% width - 2nd part</div>
<div class="col-md-4">This is 25% width - 3rd part</div>
<div class="col-md-4">This is 25% width - 4th part</div>
That did not provide the control I need.
This is actually exactly what I am looking for: https://wordpress.org/plugins/widgets-on-pages/ …. but it appears to not have been updated in a while. If anyone knows of a “widgets on pages” plugin that is reliable please reply thanks.
You were asking about the widget on the footer, right ? That code was for the footer widget.
Which widget you want to add to the page ?
I should have titled this thread “custom widget on page plugin”. I have hundreds of pages on the client’s site and would like to be able to add a few widgets (such as testimonials) to the bottom of the page before the footer. I have a testimonials widget but dont want to edit 300 pages. If I could add the widget to pages that = X category that would work. I just have not found the right plugin yet.
Thats require some customization.
Strange that this very simple solution doesn’t appear to exist. Surely someone else has needed to insert X widget on Y pages without doing it manually.
I am not sure this will work or not , But have you tried using Advertising Setup , Using that you can add you custom code on the pages you like ?
