    Hello – I have both Shopperpress and Realtorpress and in SP Header + Text (social networks) in General Setup you can input your social networks and in the header there will be icon and link to your affilated social networks i.e. facebook etc.

    This functionality is not in RP – any suggestion on how I can add (Linkedin) to my header in RP?

    You can try using the Social Icons for PremiumPress plugin: http://premiumwebservices.co.uk/shop/premiumpress-plugins/social-icons-for-premiumpress/

    or if you want some more features there is also a Pro version:

    Kind regards,

    Richard

    Thanks Richard – I forgot I had installed that a while back but didn’t use it on my other site. I have re-downloaded the “Free” version and installed and added my linkedin address but it is also putting a RSS icon in the header – how do I remove that?

    For the RSS and to fix the position put the following code in your Custom Styles box:

    <style>
    #social-wrapper #social {margin-top: 0px !important;}
    .rss a {display: none;}
    </style>

    Kind regards,

    Richard

    This functionality is not in RP

    You can add a bit of code to enable this functionality in RP

    Yes, it’s included in theme/shopperpress-default/_functions.php (and possibly in other child themes but I haven’t found it anywhere else)

    If you don’t have an existing _functions.php in the child theme you are using, then you could just add the attached file.
    If you do already have an existing _functions.php in the child theme you are using, then you can copy the code from the attached file into the existing _functions.php

    The first function ‘// SOCIAL BAR WITH ICONS’ adds the social icons menu bar above the header.
    The second function ‘// ADMIN OPTIONS FOR SOCIAL ICONS’ adds the options to configure it under the General Setup panel.
