WordPress Business Themes › Forums › Version 7 Themes › ShopperPress › Featured Items Only on Home Page
I am trying to set the home page so that it shows featured items only but it shows all categories instead. Following is what I am doing: First I set the individual product to Featured (Yes) then Display Settings -> Home Page -> Display Products (Show) -> Set the number of items to show -> ** All Featured Products Only **. Am I doing something wrong?
What do you mean by all categories? Featured products are selected by the value of custom field called ‘featured’ and not by a category.
I’m referring to the “featured” selection that is located in the individual item itself.
I am trying to set the home page so that it shows featured items only but it shows all categories instead.
What do you mean by that? Can you explain it more? Maybe provide a screenshot?
Basically, what I am trying to do is to have only the items I have selected as Featured to show on the homepage.
Can you make a screenshot of the settings in the Display Settings > Home Page?
Here is the screenshot of the settings in Display Settings > Home Page. I’ve also attached a screenshot of the section located on the individual product page where I selected Featured > Yes (Highlighted).
That looks correct. So what does show on the home page?
The home page shows both featured and non-featured items.
Have you tried disabling your plugins? Have you tried looking at the site from different browser? You might also try reinstalling the theme. If all this fails you might need to submit a ticket as I do not experience that issue on my test site so not sure what else can be causing it.
Which version do you have?
And you don’t get the ribbon text box when you set it to Featured?
Yes, I see the ribbon text, but the non-featured items are still showing on the page.
