Facebook description

Hello,

I’ve been trying to add a change the description for sharing a listing on Facebook. I am encountering the following difficulties:
1. the current description is wrong (it pulls in Add to favorites and other extra text instead of just what the [Content] shortcode pulls in. https://prntscr.com/7uxuwv
2. I added the og property in the header with a new text (a static text) for text purposes, when pulling from the debugger I see the new test text, but when pulling from the actual page, the old erroneous information is shown

I’d like to know:
1. is there something I can use in the og description to display the correct listing description? Be it a function or a hook or a shortcode or really, anything is better than the junk I have currently
2. how are the other og meta generated? There is nothing I can find in the theme files
