Hi thanks for the reply All I need to do is add a bitcoin logo and then my bitcoin address which is just a set of number like this 1FJ4Ad8CiP3YdiribVTdEHEU7oY77cPuS1

How it works is the buyer just sends the amount specified to my address using his wallet

There are merchants which you can alo use like https://bitpay.com/ and https://bitmerch.com/

Would be great if we could have the option to have bitcoin as a payment option 🙂 as I am also thinking of buying the auction script as well and using it for bitcoin and litecoin auctions

    Thanks

    Thanks

    Hi Mark,

I know this post is old. I did not see a PP plugin Bitcoin payment gateway in the list plugins.

Stripe uses Bitcoin. Here is the link to the online guide with example code. https://stripe.com/docs/guides/bitcoin

    Thanks,
    Jason

The trouble with merchants is they charge a commission and some of them act as escrow which opens you to the risk they will disappear with your coins.

Just a heads-up for the Bitcoin users.

The Coinpayments plugin is working very nicely, with some minor tweaks/bugs:
-It can even be used as a pass-through for PayPal, which you will need if you want to offer PayPal and Bitcoin payments to your buyers
-There are some minor/major bugs when setting up prices in 0.0001 (or 0,0001) (at least in Coupon Theme) and thus the total of prices, waiting for a fix
-If you want a simple/anonymous checkout, you have to ‘hack’ the plugin by editing a single word
-You have setup all prices in Bitcoins/altcoins and can not do this fiat currency like dollars, because the plugin does not convert

So, there’s a working slick Bitcoin payment gateway plugin…but it still needs some minor tweaks, before actually using in a live environment.
