Since the forum is gone I need to ask you if there is any option to switch off aoutmatic updates? I have done so much with my sites that I do not want to be lost during under next update. Any advice please?

it will not Auto update. You will have to click update.

System will tell you a Update if ready but you have to do it Manually

If there is an update it will let you know, it wont just update it without your permission so dont worry.

@ Micha and don’t forget to backup your whole site on a regular basis, get into the habit, it’s a bit of a pain but a must. Try to get as much automated as possible.
