WordPress Business Themes › Forums › Version 7 Themes › ShopperPress › add to cart button problem
Hi, the add to cart button on the gallery page (ie within a category) does not add the product to the cart but it displays the product detail page. This seems confusing, surely it should just add the item to the cart?
it does not. This is something I have wanted for sometime.
If anyone knows the code we can use please let us know.
Just change the txt to ‘More info’ in _item.php I believe.
David did you ever figure out how to change the Add to Cart to More Info
IS this just a text change? (did you check the language file?)
Not looked at it since the last post, but I think that _item.php needs modifying so it can be used in the other themes, the answer must be in there because it works for the default theme, wish Mark would chip in.
lol, spoke too soon.
Mark if you alter it in the lang file the main buy button changes as well but with the default theme you just edit _item.php but the other themes don’t have this option.
see picture. we would like the Add to Cart on the Related Products to read More Info
Reason for this is Add to Cart does not really add to cart.
See this Mark, thought I sorted it but…
I remember how I did it now, in _item.php around line 85
a href="<?php echo get_permalink($GLOBALS['post']->ID); ?>"><span class="add-box"><span><?php echo $PPT->_e(array('sp','2')) ?></span></span></a>
Change ‘sp’,’2′ to ‘button’,’13’
button 13 is already set to ‘More Info’
Ian, there is no _item.php file in the ShopperPress-Classic-Shop folder.
Do I copy the file from the template_shopperpress folder and then insert you code.
And final step would be to upload the file to the ShopperPress-Classic-Shop folder
Alternatively you could find ‘sp’,’2′ in system_customdesign.php and change it to ‘sp’,’_side5′ and then change the wording to sp 2 in the language file.
@Brandon, it uses the _item.php in the template folder I think.
What do you mean Language file. Where is the language file
