How to Manually Assign Listings to Members?

I have a list of advertisers from a prior directory I own and I need to manually input their accounts into my new Directory Press setup. Their ads are not transferable via the db method because it was not a real directory theme they were put into.

So my task is that after I set up an account for each of them manually, I will need to recreate their old ad as a listing in my new Premium Press Directory setup.

I know how to manually make listings and memberships, my problem is that when I have a listing created, I cannot see anywhere to ‘assign’ it to a specific user.

In a regular WordPress blog, you can go to edit the posts and there is usually a dropdown menu available to switch authors.

I am looking for something like this in Directory Press and can’t see it.

Am I looking in the wrong place to ‘switch authors’ per se? Or, specifically, assign a listing I manually create to another registered user?

The only way I can see to really do this which, as if this isn’t already going to take a lot of time — is to create a Free Level Submission Package, login as each new user/membership I have created manually, submit their ad, logout, then move on to the next person, login as them…

Or, am I going about this task all wrong and maybe someone can suggest another way to do what I am trying to do?
