If you own a .co.uk domain you should read this

Today I received an email advert from the people I get my domains from inviting me to pre-register the equivalent .uk domain name for £9.99. This is misleading, why? for example if you already own xyz.co.uk you have the right to register xyz.uk at anytime within 5 years from 10th June 2014 – no one else can register it within those 5 years. So there is no need to pre-register and waste money.
