refine search or back to search results link

Mark! Is there a way to refine search or go back to search results from the listing without using the back button? Now when I search for ex (house) it will show all of the listings in that category. Now f I don’t want to view any from that search I have to go back to the home page and start over or click advanced search page or widget. I don’t want the huge widget on every page.
