Listing vs Listings

I’m working my way through the tutorial videos and I’ve noticed they don’t always correspond to what I’m seeing, though I am running the latest version of both WP and PP. Most of the time I can figure it out but this one has me stumped.

In the Categories and Taxonomies video, Mark refers to Product (using the shop theme). I’m using the directory theme, so the corresponding term is Listing. Trouble is, I see both Listing and Listings in my dashboard, where the video tutorial shows only Product (Listing in the DT).

The Listings one looks more or less like what’s shown in the video. When I click on this one, the PP dashboard opens.

The Listing one opens the same list of listings, but in the WP dashboard. I can click on a button at the top called Edit with Premium Press and that opens Listings in PP.

All fine, but I’m a bit confused as to why I’m seeing things in different places than in the tutorials. I’m really trying to understand the dashboards and menus in PP and WP, but I must admit I find it confusing when some items are duplicated in both.

Maybe I need to clear everything I did back in V9 and start again from the default? Would that make my dashboards look like the ones in the videos?

Being a visual learner, I get easily confused when what I see in my dashboard doesn’t match what I see in the videos. I’m attaching a screen shot of my dashboard showing the two Listing/Listings menu items.
