Default Search fields on Classifed Theme

Hi, just new to Premiumpress and trying to configure the Responsive Classified Theme for our needs. Without using a child theme is there a way to hide the default search section on the home page or at least hide the within zip/postal code and distance fields as I will not be using the google map options for listings. I have searched the admin for this setting – it is not the Advanced Search but seems to be part of the theme perhaps and not configurable from the admin? Donno where to from here and any help will be appreciated :o)
