Theme Install

Installing and activating your theme.

PremiumPress themes install like any other WordPress theme — upload the ZIP, activate it, then work through the setup wizard.

Install the theme​

  1. Download your theme ZIP from your account at users.premiumpress.com/auth.
  2. In WordPress, go to Appearance ▸ Themes ▸ Add New ▸ Upload Theme.
  3. Choose the ZIP and click Install Now.
  4. Click Activate.

Upload the ZIP exactly as downloaded — do not unzip it first, and do not upload the folder over FTP unless you have to. If your host rejects the upload because the file is too large, ask them to raise upload_max_filesize, or unzip the archive and upload the resulting folder to wp-content/themes/.

The setup wizard​

On activation the theme takes over the admin with a guided installer. Until setup is finished, visiting any PremiumPress screen sends you back to it — core WordPress stays reachable throughout.

The wizard has four steps:

Running the wizard again​

Settings ▸ Reset theme clears the installed flag and lets the wizard run from the start. It is meant for testing a fresh setup — treat it as destructive and take a backup first.

After setup​

Once the wizard finishes, the theme's own screens live under the PremiumPress menu in wp-admin, with Listings and Settings as top-level items. Every screen is catalogued in Admin screens.
