Site Settings
Site Settings
How to set your business details and the site-wide switches under Settings.
Go to PremiumPress ▸ Settings and click a tile to open it. Make your changes, then click Save changes.
Business details
The Company details tile holds the details used on invoices and your contact page.
- Click Select logo to add the Company logo shown on invoices.
- Fill in Company name. Left empty, your site title is used.
- Add your Phone, Website, Address, and City, postcode and country.
- Add your VAT / Reg. number, shown on invoices where applicable.
Contact email addresses
Also in Company details:
- Email is your public address, shown beside the contact form and on invoices. The small box before it is the heading it appears under; leave it blank for "Email". Pick an icon from the row underneath.
- More addresses lists extra inboxes on your contact page, each with its own heading and icon, such as "Order issues" or "Support". Click + Add address. These are published for people to write to. They don't change where the contact form goes.
- Contact form recipient is where contact-form messages are delivered. Leave it blank to use the Email address above.
Admin menu and bug button
At the bottom of Company details is the Admin menu box.
Hide sub-menu items shrinks the PremiumPress menu to a single entry. Nothing is removed; every screen is still reachable from the in-page navigation. If your menu items have gone, switch this off again.
Report a bug button shows a Report a bug tab on the PremiumPress admin screens. Switch it off before you hand a site to a client.
Until a design is live, Company details also shows Theme type, where you choose which kind of site this is.
Maintenance mode
- Open the Maintenance mode tile and switch on Maintenance mode.
- Write a Headline and Message, or leave them empty to use the wording shown in grey.
- Optionally set Back online at to show a countdown.
- Save, then click Preview the maintenance page.
Visitors and members see the "back soon" page. You and your editors still see the whole site while signed in. Search engines are told the site is only temporarily unavailable, so your rankings are kept. When the countdown ends it disappears, but the site stays offline until you switch maintenance mode off.
Age check and cookie notice
The Consent popups tile has two switches.
- Adult consent shows a full-screen 18+ check before any page can be read. Visitors who confirm are remembered for a year. Visitors who decline are sent away from the site.
- GDPR consent shows a cookie and privacy notice along the bottom of the page, with Accept and Decline. The answer is remembered for a year. The notice links to your privacy policy page once one is chosen in WordPress Settings ▸ Privacy.
Analytics
Open the Analytics tile.
- For Google Analytics, paste your GA4 Measurement ID, which starts with G-.
- For Matomo, enter your Matomo address and this site's Site ID.
Each has an Enable service switch, so you can pause one without losing its details. Neither counts visits from signed-in site managers. While the GDPR cookie notice is on, Matomo waits until the visitor accepts.
View counts
The View counts box on the Analytics tile controls the view numbers the theme shows members and the Views column in your admin.
- Don't count site managers stops your own visits as an administrator adding to any count.
- Don't count an owner's own visits stops members counting views of their own listings.
Bots, crawlers and repeat reloads within the hour are never counted. Changes only affect views from now on.
Short links and redirects
The Redirection tile gives pages a short address of your own, such as mysite.com/online.
- Click one of the Popular ones, or + Add a shortcut.
- Type the ending you want under Address.
- Choose where it Goes to, or pick Custom link… to enter any address.
- Choose the Type and save.
Temporary (302) is safest while you are trying an address out. Switch to Permanent (301) once you are sure, because browsers and search engines remember a permanent one for a long time.
A shortcut only works on an address that is otherwise empty. If a page, post or category already uses that address, the page wins and the shortcut does nothing. A warning appears under the shortcut when this happens.
Social proof pop-ups
Social proof shows small pop-ups such as recent purchases, sign-ups, reviews and how many people are browsing. It is available on some themes.
- Open the Social proof tile and switch on Enable social proof.
- Save, then click Manage campaigns to create the pop-ups themselves under PremiumPress ▸ Social Proof.
Switching it off removes every pop-up and stops recording activity. Nothing is deleted.
Widget defaults apply to every campaign unless it sets its own:
- Position sets the corner used on desktop. Phones always use the bottom edge.
- Timing sets First after, Show for and Gap between, in seconds. Raise Gap between to show pop-ups less often.
- Frequency caps limit pop-ups Per visit and Per day (0 means no limit). Min. live count hides the browsing counter on a quiet site.
- Colours sets the background, text and accent. Use theme follows your design's own colours.
Delete activity & statistics empties the recorded activity and the counts of how often pop-ups were shown and clicked. Your campaigns are kept.
