Navigation

Header, footer and mobile menus.

Navigation uses the standard WordPress menu system, at Appearance ▸ Menus. If you have built a WordPress menu before, there is nothing new here.

The theme registers three locations:

LocationWhere it appears
Primary MenuThe main header navigation.
Footer MenuThe links in the site footer.
Header CategoriesThe category strip on designs that use the marketplace-style masthead.

Create a menu at Appearance ▸ Menus, then tick the location you want it assigned to.

Header Categories

This one is optional and behaves differently: if you leave it unassigned, the theme fills it automatically with your top listing categories. Assign a menu only when you want to control that strip by hand.

It also only appears on designs whose header includes a category strip. On other header styles it is simply unused.

Header style

Which header a page uses comes from the active design, not from the menu settings — see Templates & Design. Some designs use a compact header, others a full masthead with a search bar and category strip.

Mobile navigation

Mobile navigation is built in and needs no separate menu. The Primary Menu collapses into it automatically, so anything you add to the header is reachable on a phone without extra configuration.

The theme's standard pages (Contact, About, FAQ, Terms, and so on) are served by the theme itself rather than existing as WordPress pages. Because of that, links to them never 404, even on a brand-new site where nobody has created those pages. See Content Pages.

Add them to a menu with a Custom Link pointing at the page's URL.
