Listing Page Layout
Listing Page Layout
You choose what appears on every listing page, and where it sits.
Open Design ▸ Listing Page Design. The settings apply to all listings at once, not to one listing.
The section board
The board is a picture of your listing page, split into Main column and Sidebar. Each part of the page is a card.
To move a card, drag it up, down, or across to the other column. Each card also has an arrow button that sends it to the end of the other column. The arrow works on touch screens and from the keyboard.
For example, to move reviews into the sidebar, drag the Reviews card across. To put the FAQ above the description, drag FAQ above Overview.
The Live preview on the right shows your newest listing with your changes, before you save. It updates after each move or switch. Open shows it full size in a new tab. If you have no published listings yet, the preview asks you to publish one first.
When you are happy, click Save changes.
Your board may not match a video exactly. Each theme offers the cards its own listing page can show, named for that theme. On a narrow screen, the two columns stack. On some themes the listing page has a fixed layout, and you get a simple list of switches instead of a board.
Photo gallery style
The Photo gallery card has the style choices on it:
- Standard: a large photo with thumbnails
- Grid: all photos in a grid
- Carousel: a swipeable slider
- Tall: full-width stacked photos
- Showcase: a big photo with side thumbnails, marked Full width
A full-width style always spans the top of the listing page, above both columns. So when you pick Showcase, the gallery card jumps to the top of the board and can no longer be dragged. Pick another style to move it again.
Some themes, such as the shop, use one fixed gallery design, so there is no style choice. Some listing types, such as job adverts, have no gallery at all.
Switching sections off
Optional sections have an on/off switch. Depending on your theme these include Maps & Location, Reviews, FAQ, Business hours, Pricing plans, Booking and Social media.
Switching a section off does two things:
- it is hidden on every listing page
- its fields are removed from the add-listing form
That is why the FAQ field disappears from the add-listing form when you switch FAQ off. Switch it back on to restore both.
Turning off Reviews removes the star reviews and the Write a review form from the listing page.
Maps & Location also follows your site-wide maps setting. If maps are turned off for the whole site, this section stays hidden whatever its switch says.
Overview, details and contact box
Overview (the description), Details and the Contact box (called Contact card on some themes) also have switches. These only hide the part on the listing page. The add-listing form keeps its fields, and nothing members have entered is lost.
The Details table lists a listing's facts. Hide it and those facts no longer show on the listing page.
Switching off the contact box shows a warning on its card. Visitors can no longer message, call or visit the website from the listing page, and on some themes they can no longer book either. Only do this if your site handles contact another way.
Cards marked Always shown, such as Photo gallery and Title, are part of every listing page. You can move them, but not switch them off.
Members-only contact details
Under Members-only contact on the right, you can lock WhatsApp, Phone number and Website link to signed-in members.
When a switch is on, signed-out visitors still see the button. Clicking it sends them to sign in first. The real number or address is never written into the page for them. Members use the button as normal.
Click Save changes under the switches. Themes without these contact buttons do not show this card.
More options
Some settings change something inside another card, so they are not cards on the board. They appear under More options on the right.
On a dating site, for example, Winks, Gifts and Friends are here. On a stock photo site, Licensing & pricing is here, controlling how each item is licensed and priced.
Click the ⓘ beside any option to read what it does. Flip the switch, then click Save changes.
