PPT newsletter subscribers — the list of people who signed up through a subscribe/email form on the front end (the Subscribe block and any form marked .ppt-subscribe-form). Stored in a small custom table; captured over AJAX. Subscribers are NOT WordPress users — they're standalone email captures, so they live in their own table with a status, the capture source and a timestamp (which powers the admin stats). The admin screen is Ppt\Admin\Subscribers. VERIFICATION (double opt-in): a new signup lands as pending with a random token and gets a confirmation email (wp_mail). Only when they open the confirm link (/subscribe/confirm/<token>/) do they become subscribed. Cheap front-line filters (MX/domain check + a disposable-domain blocklist) reject obvious junk before any email is sent. Everything is filterable so a site can loosen/tighten it.
