What are roles a capabilities?

WordPress uses a concept of Roles, designed to give the website owner the ability to control what users can and cannot do within the site.

Which roles are used within PremiumPress themes?

Due to the large number of third party plugins that use Roles, we've decided not to alter the Roles structure within our themes. Instead we use a "user types" setup. See the video tutorial for a better understanding.

The basic usage for Roles within our themes are;

• Administrators - This allows users into the admin area
• Subscriber - This allows users to login and access the front end member pages.

No other roles are used within our themes.
