XML Import

I would like to offer my clients the ability to upload products to their site (CARS) and automatically update my site (https://southwalescarsales.co.uk) is this done with an XML import. And if so, will it add the cars to the clients list of products? Im using the Classifieds Theme

OK, My site is a car sales website (imagine a Localised version of Autotrader)I have clients who own car dealerships and also their own website. I would like to update their listings on my website when they update their website with their new stock.

Lee, first you would need to ensure that each of the dealers has the right xml feed (and they would have to make alterations to their sites to produce the correct feed) and secondly you would need a xml import system – the PremiuPress themes already have xml import built in (or you could use a 3rd party plugin).

Thanks, I understand that the XML Feed will do the import job. I need to know if the feed will allocate the listings to the client? 😐

    Hi Lee,

    Just passing and saw

Why not simply get your clients to complete an ‘xml sheet’ with updates?

    Email them over to you,

    You then import them?

    Just a thought… 😉
