So when I share the link to my Directory Press website through Facebook, the description for the home page is one of the listings not the webpage. How can I fix that?

It’s not a theme issue really, facebook get the content from your ‘blog’ and since your not running a blog its grabbing it from your first post which is a listing.

Cant you edit it manually at facebook?

Yes I can I was just curious why it was not doing it automatically. Is there a way to hardcode the graphic that it gets?

In order for FaceBook to grab the right information from your site, you have to include a special Meta tags. You can try using the free Social Icons for PremiumPress plugin which does also include dynamic Meta tags to match the right content and images.

    Kind regards,

    Richard

Facebook normally grabs the description from your meta description value which can be added via wordpress seo or any other seo plugin.

You can also set Frontpage Facebook description and image via the social part of wordpress seo as an added bonus :)

Hi Mario, I don’t see the Social Icons plugin code anywhere, did you activate it and then enable it in the General Setup?

    Kind regards,

    Richard

    Richard,

I did but I went ahead and turned it off in case if it started working.

I am actually building a duplicate site in the next week or two. This site is now live and I do not want to affect production.

So some of the issues I will just have to go through the process.

The All in One SEO PLug did work also but I had to refresh the cache in Facebook.by using this link
    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug
