Updating from 5.4 to 8.9

I have resisted upgrading my working directory from the old 7.4 theme to the Responsive directory. However I have now decided to go ahead and have installed Responsive Directory Theme on a safe subdomain (new.nlplifecoachdirectory.co.uk). My problems are: 1. When installing the theme it uploaded to version 5.4. However I cannot see how to change the Permalinks to default in order to activate the PremiumPress Non-Responsive – Responsive Import Tool plugin. (see attachment 1). Without this action all my listings (16 pages) will appear under posts rather than listings. 2. I need to update to 8.9 before customising the theme. It seems totally pointless to make customisations that are no longer used in later updates. (e.g. Home Page now uses Jumbatron and Home Page builder). 3. Images are not appearing due to change in path / structure. (see attachment 2) Would appreciate any help before raising a ticket.

    Hello Harry,

***Steps to transfer from non-responsive theme to responsive theme:

    1. Please make a backup for your site database and files.
    2. Please download the responsive theme and install it to your site.
    3. Activate the theme.
    4. Please change the Permalinks to default/plain.
    5. Please download the PremiumPress Non-Responsive – Responsive Import Tool >>
    6. Install and Activate the plugin
    7. After that please go Overview
    8. You can then transfer the old data listings to your new theme.
    9. Setup your new theme options
    10. done
