Store List Widget displays the names of stores as a paragraph, not separate lis?

Hi I am using coupon theme 8.3 and so far it turning out great. I tried the store list widget and if I include the icons it looks great but if I want to only have stores in a list without icon, it comes out as a bunch instead of a list. I attached a screen shot. Can you tell me what I can do to change this?

Also, why we are at it… Is there a way to choose the store icons that appear under most popular stores on the top like you can on the side? Every store icon is going to show and we just wanted featured stores or it will be massive if we get many businesses. I attached a screen shot too. Just wondering if there is a solution to limit stores on top and still create a store for each business?
