Step 1: Checkout Options issue

I have my site set up so that nobody can register.

In Step 1 the buttons are “click here to register” and “guest checkout” – there is also a registered customers login button.

If the user clicks to register they get an error page ie the default page – this bit is fine – although for some reason the shipping gets dropped from the cart value (not worried about that bit though).

I’d really like to just either remove this whole section OR be able to remove the “click here to register” button. There seems little point in having this as users will just get annoyed at seeing a button that will produce problems.

If the above is do’able then I’d also like to remove the registered customers section – this section would confuse customers.

Is there a super duper bit of custom css for this?

Of course – removing the whole section would be better, but I can always change the “guest checkout” button to “checkout” etc.

Any ideas you wonderful folk?
