how do i add the following to the default directory theme, as shown in the demo here (trying lots of things, so far no luck):

    https://dp1.wlthemes.com/

    1. top left menu
    2. top background image
    3. right Add Listing menu (all the way to the right)
    4. the background image with the construction worker in it

    please see attached pic

    thanks

    Hello Will,
1.Go to Appearance >Menus and create a Main Navigation menu
    2.Go to Appearance >Header
3.Go to Theme Options >Layout Setup >Main Menu and select ‘MENU+ADD LISTING’
4.I have attached the image for you.Upload it under Media >Add New,copy url and paste it under Page Setup >Edit Home Page Content >Main Banner Block >Background Image

that put the image behind (or within) the “Website Logo” header

i believe the construction guy image should go behind the “Directory Theme
Example Builders Directory” area just below the header

i’d love to put the construction guy image where it is displayed in the demo

    thanks

for the Main Navigation menu, i now display the Add Listing link on the right side, but so far nothing on the left side

how do i add the left side menu items?

i went Appearance > Menus > Main Navigation (the name i gave my main menu, per the instructions above)

and then selected Home, Add Listing, Contact, Sample Page

    then saved

but they do not show up, see the pic

    thanks

    ah, figured it out

in the Appearance > Menu > Menu Settings > Theme locations, i had to check Main Navigation and save

now the left links are there

    (man, i need an aspirin… 🙂
