    Hi. Ive installed DirectoryPress last week and have been having a great time setting up my site. However, I have a couple of problems with the Google Maps on the homepage option. Ideally, Id like to put this onto a menu page of it’s own – is this possible? Also, I saw another site where they’d removed the image attached to each listing from the bubble, but I cant see an option to do that. Im happy to edit files if required, but can someone let me know how you achieve both these things?

    Thanks for your help.

    The home page objections will only work on the home page at current, they cannot be used elsewhere.

    You would have to send the link for the other question so i can see it.

    Thanks Mark

    Here is the page Im working on.

    You can see the map at the bottom.

    Id like to remove the images so all there is listed is a company name, linked to it’s listing on the site.

    Ive removed it from the site for the moment, but have attached an image of the problem.

    1. Shows the error message I get with the map when go go to the page (OVER_QUERY_LIMIT) – which is weird since it only has about 10 entries
    2. Shows how bad the flags look

    Im assuming this is the plugin Google Map It?

    I installed it and it has options for changing some things but not removing the images. Also, when I disabled the Worpress Map from the Display Settings-Home Page, and set it to show the plugin – it didnt show any pointers – do you have to tell it where the pointers information is coming from? Ive currently deactivated the plugin.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Directory Press theme

    I wanted to remove the box and listing image from the Google map and just leave the map icons for each featured listings.

    Probably not the best way, but here’s what I did…

    /PPT/class/class_design.php
    Set opacity and width to 0

    Becomes

    ,boxStyle: {
    opacity: 0
    ,width: “0px”
    }

    Mark – could you explain in a bit more where you changed/added that code?

    Before I open a new topic, just wanted to check if this is still an issue with version 8.3 Directory Theme. I would like to move the google map off the homepage to it’s own page as well.
