Gather new members email addresses and ask them to sign up for newsletter

Hi

I’ve just started working on my Directory Theme and I notice that when new members sign up, I don’t have the option of asking them if they want to join my newsletter. As I don’t see their email addresses anywhere. I actually have no way of communicating with them (except via the standard Welcome to website/new listing added emails?

Is there a way to automatically add them to mailchimp? or to see their email addresses?
