Custom taxonomies – Hide counts and sort alpha

    I’ve got two custom taxonomies.

    Tax01 and Tax02

A user searches on Tax01 and Tax02 is linked to it. So then the drop down list in Tax02 is only those items relevant to Tax01.

Currently that functionality works fine. However, the Tax01’s that have higher counts (listings) sort to the top and I want that list to be alphabetic regardless of count.

Secondly the count is just confusing the user and I would like to hide the counts.

I have searched this forum and found some suggestions and tried them. They appear to be for categories.

I need to find where the taxonomy arrays are loaded and where they are displayed. I’m thinking that hiding the counts and changing the sorting can be done if I find the files that have these, or if I know the functions to copy into my child theme and edit.

Anybody know where to go with this?

    Thanks,
