All the emails that get sent by my DirectoryPress install to customers end coming from my hosting company’s IP address with the sender labeled as “WordPress”
Any recommendations on how I can change this setting?
You can use the Mail From for PremiumPress plugin: http://premiumwebservices.co.uk/shop/premiumpress-plugins/mailfrom-for-premiumpress/
Wide range of PremiumPress and WordPress Plugins and add-ons
PremiumPress customisation services and Website Design
Selection of PremiumPress Child Themes
That did the trick.
Now the only thing I need to figure out is how to change the actual email server as the email address I inputed from your plugin still says “via gator60.hostgator.com” when I receive an email
I login in a few minutes ago to ask a similar question. I have not tried the plugin yet for that Q&A
What I would like to know also – When a user sign up and send an email through the Subscribe Now form on your website, and when they receive the conformation email and click the reply link the following happen in different browsers.
How can you configure this in admin to work correctly?
…The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.
Fantastic. Thank you.
thanks for sharing
Here is a great plugin I found that solves the other issue I was having
This allows you to change all emails send out through WordPress and change them to your own SMTP server. Good solution for keeping your emails out of spam folders and not confusing your listing purchasers with getting emails from WordPress when they change their password etc..
Thanks Chris for the info…looks great
