Advance Search w/ custom listing checkbox field

I have created a custom listing field called “Genre” and have created it as a Checkbox field type with four values.

When I create a custom advanced search field against that custom listing field, with a field type of Multiple Selection, I do not get text values displayed in the Advance Search widget even though I’ve chosen “Text” as the value in the “Data Stored As” field. (I’ve attached an image of the widget.)

Any tips on how to see the actual values I have available for that custom listing field?

    Thanks!

    Hi Lesa,

Its not possible to search for the checkbox values at the moment as that will return array which the search does not support it.

This seems like a pretty important feature in this kind of a theme. What if I’m making a real estate directory and want to allow people to search on multiple features they want (e.g., 3 bedroom + pool + fireplace)? I would need to collect those on the listing as non-mutually-exclusive values.

Is there a fix planned for this?

    Thanks for the quick response!

    Hello Lesa,
You could use the Multi Selection Field Type.See attached image
