    Last week i have installed theme in my site and noticed that my one coupon url is indexed at google search .
    I want to index only store urls on google and don’t want to index coupons url .
    Indexing coupon url will hurt the site seo as it doesn’t have enough content .

    Before buying this theme sales staff told me that coupons url will not index in google but now its indexing on google .
    You can check it at site:bankoffersclub.com

    Is there any other way to stop showing coupons listing on google search rather than setting it noindex from Yoast SEO Plugin .

    Waiting for quick reply

    Thanks

    hi Chandresh

    You have store image on every coupon which links directly to coupon page (clicking on ebay image goes to coupon page), this is how search engine discovered those pages

    Are you using custom layout for coupon items? If you have “Show image instead of discount” set to OFF in Theme setup > Coupon settings than this should only show code without image when custom layout is DISABLED

    Hi Zarko,
    Thanks for your reply .
    Just disabled custom display and the image which was showing coupon link has gone .

    Well i had enabled custom display to show full content on each coupons listing .
    As i have disabled the custom display it has again started showing only limited content for coupons .

    Is there any other way to increase words limit for coupons ?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi chandresh
    add the lines in robots.txt
    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /listing_type-sitemap.xml
    Disallow: /listing/

    and say google not to index coupons

    So not allowing listings to be indexed is good for SEO?

    Hey scott,
    Yes because there will be very less content on listings .

    Will adding the below lines work for the coupon theme or is it /coupon?

    It’s confusing me but I don’t want to index my listings. I have been indexing my listings for a long time now, will fixing it now help?

    I can’t find how to do it in Yoast SEO either.

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /listing_type-sitemap.xml
    Disallow: /listing/

    Thank you, do I have to re-submit the site map again after updating Robots file?

    Sitemap is only submitted once.No need to submit it again even with the code added to robots file

    Ok cool. So once the robots file is picked up will the listing URL’s be blocked from Google?

    Wish I had been aware of this a while back.

    Hello Scott,
    Please try below code under Theme Setup >General Setup >Custom css

    .logo .frame {
    pointer-events: none;
    cursor: default;
    }
