Update Frustration!

So I have been doing the RA updates as Mark gets them out there (seems to be almost daily or every few days 😀 ) and have made note of changes I have made in the files, but have 2 issues with this…

1. When I access the change log to view the changes the dates are behind a few days so it does not show me what’s been changed in the latest update, nor does it show which files to upload or which ones have been changed.

2. It’s starting to get frustrating having to go back and make the changes again and again as I am getting closer now to going “live” and this sets me back. I’m starting to wonder if I’m doing this correctly… Should I just be opening the update and uploading only certain files? Because I am uploading the whole theme via the admin and installing it, then removing the older version so this is overwriting all my edits, changes, color changes (not available in admin) etc that I do in the files.

Is there no way to just upload the updated files instead of overwriting everything?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
