    Hi All

After months of hard work version 6.0 is almost with us.

On Thursday 28th April i will updated the VIP members area with the new beta download of ShopperPress 6.0 BETA for everyone who would like to contribute with theme testing.

    This is a BETA release..

I must stress that this is only a beta release therefore is not fit for live usage, it is NOT an upgrade, it is being made available for those who would like to contribute their time to help test and find bugs/issues with version 6 before the stable release.

DO NOT use this forum to ask questions about customzing the beta, it is for testing therefore there is no need to customize it at this point.

    Is there a DEMO website?

    Yes there is, you can see it here;

    http://beta.shopperpress.com

Where can i download the BETA version?

The beta download will be available in the afternoon on Thursday 28th in the VIP members area for ShopperPress and club members.

    http://www.premiumpress.com/account/

    Many features are missing...

The beta release is using the new PremiumPress framework therefore the beta release is designed to help test this, many features are still being added and developed for the stable release.

How long will it be in BETA?

In my experience the beta release period usually lasts about 3 or 4 weeks, if everything goes smoothly the STABLE release will then shortly follow.

Any further questions please let me know.

    Kind Regards

    Mark Fail

The demo looks great! I have already purchase the shopperpress 5.0 theme. Once 6.0 becomes stable will this be available as an upgrade or will it be a separate theme to buy?

I will also be able to help out with some testing once the theme is available. I have a couple of domains that I am experimenting with, so happy to help out and have a play.

I must congratulate the PremiumPress team, I am loving your products.

Perhaps I've missed it somewhere, but is there a summary of features/improvements for V6? I am particularly interested to know if there are any improvements in the CSV importing as I am in the middle of this right now, and may hold off until the release.

    Thanks,

    John

any idea on the time today you are going to be uploading the beta? It says this afternoon but its always the afternoon somewhere... I live in Utah so our afternoon is most likely different if you are in the UK?

Found an issue with a installation running 3.1.1. I installed and set up the Beta. I then tried to update to the new release of Wordpress 3.1.2. The page didn't load properly, just the following text:

Thank you for creating with WordPress. | Documentation | Feedback

    Get Version 3.1.2

Clicking the get version 3.1.2 link did nothing.

Found another small bug, during the install, I chose the reset option to wipe the site back to zero for the new Beta, but doing so, some of the images have not loaded, I tried repeating this operation, but still no joy.

    Link here - kathscreations.com.au

I wil leave it like this for 24 hours for your reference.

    hi Simon

this sounds like a bug with WP not the theme, the update your doing is with your WP system not the theme itself.

the images you have set to "test.gif" which isnt a valid link as the image u have doesnt exist, id recommend choosing one that does.

I'm getting an error when adding a category. It shows the below error message and does not save:

    An unidentified error has occurred.

Error also shows when trying to add a new page (but saves though). I thought it might be the permlink but when i try to edit it shows '0' instead of the address.

Also the widgets does not save when dragged to the sidebar. I managed to get around it by clicking on screen options -> Enable accessibility mode.

Hm is anyone else experiencing these problems? I'm using WP 3.1.2 created a new database and disabled all plugins. I'll try downgrading WP tomorrow, see if that works.

    Hi Mark,

First off what an awesome ecommerce theme package! I already prefer working on it compared to 5.0, even though it just a beta release. I love the new slider controls, background image control, etc. This theme is really fun to use!

I'm not sure if this is a bug but after clicking a featured product when it takes me to the product details I don't see any button to click for a larger image nor can I click on the product image to see a larger size. I do have "show additional image tabs" under the display setup menu tab. But the more images tab is missing. I also tried 2 column layouts and 3 column layouts thinking maybe the image button got compressed.

I figured out why the additional images button wasn't showing. I did not have any images for the gallery to show, duh! But I still don't have the option to view a larger image of the product.

    Hi Mark,

I am trying the beta 6 for my new site. I notice the main product image wasnt shown up on the product page & the same scenario goes to your beta demo as well. Is there anything I can do to make it visible in the main image box. Thanks

I have few questions, testing with http://test.ciuziniucentras.lt
How to remove home button from meniu (create alternative wp meniu not a sollution, because it will not work as drop down for submenius).

Main page don't show (after re-enabling) sidebar. Show only images (featured).

Is a function to hide submenu (where is search and login/Register). As you see it takes too much valuable space for not worth such attention place. I'm talking about default themes (it's for Tshirts theme 6v)

If there is category and have subcategories with posts. when you activate any main category, it shows posts from subcategories. Would be great to have option to show subcategory list or all posts.

btw there is good working plugin wp smart sort (for customized sorting), as you see prices are sorted not alphabeticaly It looks to wp db tables... http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-smart-sort/

category view for sidebar (should be option expanded) alternative use ugly internal category list.

is it possible to change in product sidebar place. from left to right (if so, it means this function doesn't work)

and in product sidebar (Purchase item) below shows product name (the same record as in right - center side). Waste of place.

For usability isue, F - its eye flow directions how people see info, don't need to use left side fow worthless items.

Add to cart sould be in center block where is big price (in sidebar it lacks of attention, even changed color)

After testing checkout if will find, I'll write some "findings".

    Darius.
